This distance learning package aims to provide an insight into the principles of infection control and ways to prevent the spread of infection. There are three areas of focus:

BASIC CONTROL MEASURES
- correct hand hygiene
- use of protective clothing
- correct handling of linen & waste
STAFF PROTECTION
- pre employment screens
- purpose & care of uniforms
- sharps disposal & needlestick injuries
