Further Details

This programme may combine any of our Essential Skills Workshops. When combined, these workshops flow naturally, build upon one another, and create a comprehensive leadership foundation in which each progressive stage of leadership is covered:

 Leading in Your Organisation - Managing & Leading

Managing and Leading

This (half-day) workshop explores personal, one-to-one, and team leadership, emphasising the importance of sharing leadership throughout the organisation. Participants will examine the nature of organisational change, the differences between managing and leading, and their role in creating a difference within the workplace.

This workshop is the ideal beginning of a training curriculum for your prospective, new and experienced managers. It is designed to prepare managers for our other Essential and Breakthrough Manager workshops, which address specific core management issues.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to examine and develop their role as leaders.

 Leading Yourself – Change Management, Time Management

Change Management I - Living with Change - Half Day

Change is inevitable; the only question is: in which direction? This workshop examines the nature of progressive change, our natural reactions to change, and how we cope with profound changes within the workplace environment.

This workshop is equally appropriate to both non-management and management personnel.

Time - To Make the Most of Your Day - Full Day

In surveys, managers consistently rate time their greatest management challenge. Contrary to traditional time management approaches, which advocate doing more things in less time, this workshop helps managers lead themselves to make tough decisions and spend their time on activities/tasks that are truly important.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and/or enhance their Time Management Skills.

 Leading individuals – Performance Management, Coaching

Performance I - The Performance Partnership - Full Day

Your key goal as a manager is to ensure employees meet and exceed performance expectations every day. To do this, you must be a constant performance partner with each of your employees.

Our Performance Improvement Cycle works with any formal process your organisation uses to manage employee performance.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and/or enhance their Performance management skills.

Coaching I - For Hearts and Minds - Half Day

Managers build employee satisfaction and performance momentum by coaching individuals one-to-one. Coaches help individuals move through the learning stages until targeted skills become second nature. They also help individuals embrace a mindset of ownership and personal improvement so employees continuously learn, unlearn, and relearn in a changing organisation.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and/or enhance their individual Coaching skills.

 Leading Groups – Team Building, Communication, Conflict Management

Team Building - For Greater Results - Half Day

The ability to build effective teams is one of the most underdeveloped skills in management. Team leaders, and team members, need to appreciate the differences of individuals and build synergies between co-workers to move from workgroups to teams. We explore how to build meaningful relationships that create a respectful and productive work environment.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and/or enhance their “effective” Team Building skills.

Communication I - The Interpersonal Difference - Half Day

Managers communicate constantly and in various ways. We emphasise the importance of interpersonal communication to create clarity and build relationships in one-to-one and small group interactions.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and/or enhance their individual Communications skills.

Conflict - Why it's Necessary

Workplace conflict is natural and — handled the right way — essential for moving an organisation forward. We examine how managers can turn destructive conflicts into constructive sources of innovation.

This is a highly inter-active, activity based workshop that provides the vehicle for participants to develop and /or enhance their individual Conflict management techniques.
Comprehensive Programme overview available upon request. In addition, you may wish to combine The Essential Manager and Breakthrough Manager workshops to create a comprehensive management curriculum or to target specific developmental areas on Coaching, Performance Management, Chang Management and/or Communication skills. These workshops naturally flow from one to the other, building on knowledge and skills previously gained, without needless repetition.
