This NVQ is designed for those people who are involved in a wide range of supervisory or management roles within the health and social service sector. It is designed for individuals who are involved in team development and the effective use of people and financial resources including the management of team and individual performance in the work setting. It covers a wide range of managerial duties in delivering care and support, the assessment of individual needs and the planning of packages of care.

Further Details
You will have a choice of units to choose from for this course. You will have to take a total of 8 units to achieve the course. All candidates should take 4 mandatory and 4 optional units. The mandatory Units are:
• Use and develop methods and systems to communicate, record and report
• Take responsibility for the continuing professional development of self and others
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of healthy and safe practices in working environment
• Develop practices which promote choice, well-being and protection of all individuals
You can start the NVQ at any time during the year with the expectation that you will complete the award within three years of starting.
