The Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 is suitable for people working in care and health settings. The course provides underpinning knowledge of what is expected from a care worker. It is also the minimum qualification required to work in the care sector. You will be assessed in the workplace and have some opportunities to attend workshops at our training centre.
Completion of the course dependents on how fast you will be able to demonstrate the required competency for the course. The minimum time period is ten weeks from registration. You are expected to complete the award within a year.

The course has various units which have to be taken depending on the sector you work. You will be required to complete six units for the qualification. People working in the social care sector must take the four core units and two optional units. People in the health sector must select two core units and four optional units.
Some combinations of units are not allowed due to being similar in content. You will be required to complete a portfolio demonstrating your competency. Your evidence could be made out of observations, work records, questions, reflective accounting, assignments and testimonies from other people.
