Capital Training (SW) has a brand new purpose built Painting & Decorating department that offers a variety of qualifications. This 5-day basic course is designed to give you a good understanding in all areas of decorating and the tools used. No previous experience is necessary for anyone to take part in this short intensive course.

The course covers:-
An introduction to the tools required for the job.
An introduction to powder fillers & ready-made fillers.
An introduction to water and oil based paints.
Wall and ceiling preparation.
How to cut in and roll walls and ceilings.
How to cut in and roll wall with different colours.
Learning what paints to use for different surfaces.
Throughout the course your Instructor will provide you with many useful hints and tips of the trade. The Instructor will also answer any questions or queries you may have.
On completion of the course you will receive either a Capital Training (SW) certificate of competency or OCN Accreditation, helpful notes and a photographic portfolio showing the stages of the work you have carried out during the period you have trained with us. Throughout your training all tools and equipment will be fully provided and demonstrated.
What do I need to bring?
All tools and equipment will be fully provided and demonstrated. You will need to wear safety boots for the duration of the course - you can either supply these yourself or purchase them from us at a cost of £15.
