CODECO is KLM's 'Computerised Departure Control' system, which is used for check-in, retrieval of passengers and aircraft information.
This course covers the basics of CODECO for check-in, for passenger retrieval and for flight information.

The course consists of 4 sections:
1. Before Check-in
How to sign-in and use the CODECO system along with retrieving flight information.
2. The Check-in
Check-in basics.
3. Check-in Variations
Check-in irregularities.
4. Gate Handling
Boarding passengers in CODECO by Automated Boarding Control or Manual Boarding Control.
Practice Cases
Once you have completed the above 4 sections, there are four practice cases to be carried out.

Study Options
This course is an online course. With online study you have access to your entire course from the start of your studies. You can access your course materials, and submit all of your question papers to your personal tutor, online from anywhere in the World using your unique student account.

Studying Online. If you would like to study online we cannot accept payment for course fees in instalments, instead course fees must be paid in full at the point of enrolment. The reason for this is due to the fact that when you study online you have access to all of your course materials from the outset.
Requirements for Entry
There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
Study Hours
This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
The approximate amount of time required to complete
the course is: 60 hrs.

Fee Includes online training for 6 months, examination fees and Award upon successful completion a KLM/IAOT CODECO Certificate, will be issued to all successful graduates. This qualification is recognised throughout the world.

- Final Examination
- Fee includes 70 hours of online training which is valid for 6 months.
Final Examination will be held several times during the year at the Academy head office at Waterford Regional Airport, Waterford, Ireland.
Overseas students can take their final examination in their own country, providing that they arrange with their local college to facilitate this. In the event that the overseas college charge to facilitate the exam, the student must meet the costs associated with it.
The college must meet with the Academy's approval and must follow the guidelines set down by the Academy to facilitate the exam.
The Final Examination will be held under the supervision. Students will not be allowed use any reference material during the examination.
Airports throughout the world use CODECO to check-in their passengers.

- I am aware that I must get 85% in my final examination in order to receive my KLM/IAOT Certificate of Achievement in CODECO Check-In training

- I am aware that completion of this course does not guarantee me employment.
- I am also aware that this course is under copyright and therefore I will not allow this course to pass on to anybody else, or use it as a demonstration to show or teach other people.
- I understand that I must not copy it.
- Average Completion Time: 60 hours.
