When it comes to caring at home, physical care is likely the type of care that comes to mind most readily. This involves helping people to attend to their personal needs, such as bathing and dressing, however psychological and social care are equally important.
In this course you will come to understand the many services which contribute to care at home, and how to choose the right ones for the job, especially as caring becomes more complex. The concepts of care and caring are developed throughout the course to enable you to take a broad view and keep an open mind about the individuality of people.

Qualifications
On completion of your course, you will receive two qualifications:
Qualification 1: Caring At Home Diploma
Caring At Home Diploma issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.
Qualification 2: Level 4 Caring At Home Award
At the end of this course successful learners will also receive a level 4 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).
This award has been designed by Stonebridge Associated Colleges to meet specific learners' or employers' requirements. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that this learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE.
