The Better Trading Award is designed to help individuals and the smaller business to demonstrate that they follow good practice. This means you can assure your customers, suppliers and employees that your dealings with them will be based upon a sound knowledge of current legislation and professional standards.
The award is aimed at proprietors and staff of businesses who wish to demonstrate that they operate to high standards and have a sound knowledge of good business practices.

Because the award is accredited, it provides an independent assurance of your knowledge and understanding of business practices.
This will enable you to:
- Confirm to customers and potential customers that you have gained an accredited award
- Provide suppliers with an assurance of following good practice
- Improve your business by keeping up to date on current regulations
- Demonstrate your commitment to staff of good employment practices
- Holders of the award will be presented with a certificate of accreditation and will be entitled to display the Better Trading Award, providing a visible sign of your achievement
Qualifications
On completion of your course, you will receive two qualifications:
Qualification 1: Better Trading Award Certificate
Better Trading Award Certificate issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges, entitling you to use the letters SAC Cert after your name.
Qualification 2: Level 2 Better Trading Award Award
At the end of this course successful learners will also receive a level 2 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).
This award has been designed by Stonebridge Associated Colleges to meet specific learners' or employers' requirements. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that this learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE.
