The first part of the course serves as foundational training, which equips you to begin practicing Scrum. You'll cover the following topics:

Scrum Workshop
Then we move on to exercises designed to offer a practical understanding and refinement of the product backlog and user stories. You'll get a a solid foundation for successful Scrum utilisation.
You'll be given a product vision and high-level product backlog meant to drive the development of a real-life scaled Scrum organisation. You'll then each take on the roles of business owner, product owner, ScrumMaster and team members in a mock release planning session and subsequent sprint planning meetings. We'll address epic breakdown, vertical slices of functionality, acceptance criteria for both business and technical requirements, and assigning business value and effort estimates.

Examination Passing Policy
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year.  Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.

Prior to attending the CSM course, students should have read the Scrum Guide which you can download here.



We interview all applicants for the course on their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and general suitability. If you get through this screening process, it means you stand a great chance of passing.
Firebrand Training is an immersive training environment. You must be committed to the course. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
