Our accelerated CompTIA Strata course is the most effective, efficient way to get certified.
We’ve designed our curriculum to prepare you for 2 CompTIA exams sat during the program.

CompTIA Strata - Fundamentals of PC Functionality

• 1.0 Technology


• 1.1 Identify basic IT vocabulary.


• 1.2 Identify the risks associated with upgrading the following technologies and equipment.


• 1.3 Demonstrate the ability to set up a basic PC workstation


• 2.0 Software Installation and Functions


• 2.1 Conduct basic software installation, removal and/or upgrading.


• 2.2 Identify issues related to folder and file management


• 2.3 Explain the function and purpose of software tools


• 3.0 Security


• 3.1 Recognize basic security risks and procedures to prevent them.


• 3.2 Recognize security breaches and ways to resolve them.


• 3.3 Recognize IT related laws and guidelines

CompTIA Strata - Fundamentals of Technology

• 1.0 Computer Hardware


• 1.1 Demonstrate the proper use of the following devices:


• 1.2 Explain the characteristics and functions of internal and external storage devices


• 1.3 Explain the characteristics and functions of peripheral devices


• 1.4 Explain the characteristics and functions of core input devices


• 2.0 Compatibility Issues and Common Errors


• 2.1 Identify basic compatibility issues between:


• 2.2 Recognize common operational problems caused by hardware


• 2.3 Demonstrate the ability to minimize risks


• 3.0 Health, Safety and Preventative Maintenance


• 3.1 Recognize safety hazards and identify corresponding guidelines


• 3.2 Identify preventative maintenance products, procedures, and how to use them

CompTIA - Strata - Exam Track
We’ll prepare you for, and test you in the following 2 exams required for Strata:

• Fundamentals of PC Functionality (Exam: FC0-U11)


• Fundamentals of Technology (Exam: FC0-U21)

Both exams last 1 hour each, consist of 35 questions, and have a passing score of 70%

Examination Passing Policy
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year.  Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.








CompTIA - Strata - Prerequisites

Students that are successful in the CompTIA Strata training course really only need to be passionate about learning technology.
We interview all applicants for the course on their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and general suitability. If you get through this screening process, it means you stand a great chance of passing.
Firebrand Training is an immersive training environment. You must be committed to the course. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
