Who can take the Beauty Therapist course?
The course is from UK Open Learning, one of the UK’s leading distance learning providers. You don’t need any special qualifications to sign up for the course; it is open to anyone.

What qualification will I receive?

Qualification:


Level 2 Award in Beauty Therapy plus a UK Open Learning Diploma.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 2 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland'
Awarding Body Information
NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.

Is the Beauty Therapist course a recognised qualification?
The course has been mapped against the National Occupational Standards for the Beauty industry set by habia.

Will I be able to become a Beauty Therapist after taking the course?
As this is a theoretical course, you should gain some hands on training in a salon or practise on friends and family, and then with this qualification you will be fully accredited.
Is this course and NVQ?
No, you cannot take NVQs by distance learning.
