Set-Up Reduction / Quick Changeover is the changing over of a process to produce a different product or service in the most efficient manner, and contribute significantly to operational flexibility, and inventory reduction. This workshop teaches the basic principles of set-up reduction/quick changeover based on the SMED System of Setup Reduction. This workshop will introduce participants to the 6-step set-up reduction process. Attendees will learn how many companies are able to achieve 75% or better reduction in changeover time, often with little or no investment. The workshop is structured around case studies and a simulation exercise.
