Formerly known as the City & Guilds 2400, the Design, Erection & Verification course follows on from the 2391-10 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations qualification.

Intended for those who will be designing electrical installations, this theory-based course will provide the candidate with all the necessary information and knowledge to design and erect an electrical installation, with the focus being on cable sizing and management, taking account of environmental influences, routing and suitability for purpose.

Duration: Delivered in 5 days, usually over two or three months to allow the candidates to complete a design project.

Assessment: 3-hour open book theory exam plus design project. Candidates who have not previously gained the 2391-10 qualification will also have to complete the 4-hour 2391-10 practical assessment.

Pre-requisites:
Candidates should have a good working knowledge of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and of inspection and testing.
