Contractor Control
This one day programme aims to provide staff with the tools needed to ensure that they take reasonable care in the control of contractors when on site. It also covers the actions needed to ensure that legal obligations are met and provides assistance in developing a Contractor Control Policy.
At the end of the programme you should be able to:
• Outline the legal requirements relating to selection and control of contractors
• Identify the range of legislation governing the work of contractors
• Explain the importance of an effective contractor control policy
• Develop an appropriate contractor selection and monitoring strategy
• Recognise the main features of safety method statements and their application
