Mehndi is the art of applying henna on the body in elaborate and beautiful designs. A traditional form of decoration for both men and women in India, it is generally used for special occasions, particularly weddings.

Learn the ancient Art of Body Painting. A beginner's course where students will be taught the basic techniques and practical tips on how to do it yourself.

The workshop will cover:

* The origins of henna and its historical uses in culture and religion.
* Safety Issues: How to tell real henna from "black henna"
* Recipes and Mixing: A live demonstration of how to mix henna, our secret recipe, and explanation of henna chemistry.
* Henna Applicators: Learning how to make your own henna cone.
* Elements of Design: Learn the traditional and modern henna design, focusing on design symbolism, and styles of different regions.
* Hands on practice: Students are given the opportunity to practice, creating their own designs on reusable paper, on themselves, or on each other.


Students will be provided with a henna kit to practice on. This workshop is also perfect for anyone wanting to add to their make up artistry or hair skills and want to offer Mehndi as part of a wedding package.
