The modern professional buyer needs to take advantage of all global sources in this dynamic and changing world but purchasing from sources outside the UK has many added challenges. This course comprehensively covers these challenges including managing currency and payment, understanding customs and import procedures and ensuring the enforceability of the buyer's requirements across differing legal systems.
The necessity for uniformity of understanding and interpretation of contractual obligations between the buyer and seller is emphasised together with practical methods of achieving these key requirements. Transportation, freight rates and selecting the correct Incoterm are also covered.
