Now that you have had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and the skills learnt one of our Presentation Skills series courses - you may well have experienced some difficulties, challenges and issues which require further exploration. Alternatively you may be in danger of slipping into bad habits! This two day Masterclass is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to discuss their presentation skills experiences and to practice once again presenting in a safe environment. This course is NOT designed to equip participants with new knowledge or introduce new skills and behaviours. It is assumed that this prior knowledge exists. The focus on this course is to enable participants to have opportunities to receive constructive critique on their current application of their presentation knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Course Outcomes/Benefits of Attending:

This course will give participants an opportunity to further develop the presentation skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to be effective as a consultant. By the end of this course participants will have:

participated in at least one opportunity to develop a new presentation using supporting materials and equipment

participated in at least one opportunity to delivery a new/existing presentation using supporting materials and equipment

received structured and constructive feedback from their colleagues/fellow course participants and the course tutor

given structured and constructive feedback to at least one of their colleagues/fellow course participants

carried out and reviewed the effectiveness of their presentation using a simple checklist

planned the continued development of their presentation skills/capabilities.

The Learning Experience:

Largely experiential in design this development workshop is highly participative with a mixture of tutor input, plenary discussions, syndicate exercises and videoed presentation, used for critique and feedback purposes.

During the course participants will have opportunities to experience a wide range of presentation techniques so that they may grow in personal confidence in using themselves.

Participants will also have the opportunity, through the use of CCTV and structured critique sessions to monitor the change in their skills during the course. A large part of the course will be invested in participants delivering a series of presentations, which will then be critiqued as a basis for personal development and growth.

There is an emphasis on participative exploration. A handbook of best practice guidelines together with a set of 'learning helpcards' supplement this course and are also provided.

Programme Outline:

Who Should Attend:

All experienced presenters. Participants will have needed to have attended OTT Consulting's Presentation Skills course prior to attending this programme.

Course Duration:

The programme is of two day’s duration.

Number of Participants:

At OTT Consulting we believe in providing a suitable ratio of 'trainers to participants' to maximise everyone's ability to learn. Given the highly focused nature of this Masterclass we have therefore designed this programme to accommodate 4 participants as the optimum number of participants. Where required we are happy to alter the programme to accommodate more or less participants.
