Course Outcomes/Benefits of Attending:
In this course we will explore options, develop essential skills, and practice different styles associated with effective time management, building your confidence and capability in the process. By the end of this course you will be able to:
Maximise your performance through the effective use of your time
Describe the factors which affect the management of time
State how effective you are in the management of time
Implement a number of techniques for improving your management of time effectiveness
Discuss priority setting and delegating in this context.
Plan, carry out and review the effectiveness of your time management interventions.
The Learning Experience:
Time management is more a matter of will than skill. Most of what participants will cover on this course they will already know. But to become a better time manager participants must make a willful decision to act differently - to begin to do at least one thing differently. Otherwise, knowing more “stuff” about time management will be of no use.
Designed to be both informative and participative using a mixture of self study, managed discussions and tutor led sessions and exercises, the entire course employs the use of a workbook and requires that a time log is kept for a short period of time prior to attendance on the course.
There is an emphasis on participative exploration. A handbook of best practice guidelines together with a set of 'learning helpcards' supplement this course and are also provided.
