The CPC is a qualification required by law for anyone wishing to operate passenger service vehicles in the UK.
To demonstrate professional competence, candidates must sit formal examinations with OCR and successfully complete a case study as part of the examination process to obtain a CPC qualification.
The passenger national components consist of many sections including law, operator licensing, driver requirements and financial management. The passenger international unit can be added to an existing CPC qualification.
The passenger national examinations are held four times a year and the passenger international examinations are held in June and December only.
Delegates must register with K Training at least four weeks before the examination date.

The OCR CPC award is a Level 3 qualification. Level 3 is considered to be an Advanced Level qualification.
Delegates need to pass three examinations to gain the Certificate of Professional Competence for National Road Passenger. All three examinations can be taken on the same day or one or more examinations at at time throughout the year. Each examination unit passed will remain valid until substantial changes take place in the syllabus, even then, a few years may be available to complete any other units needed in order to gain the full CPC award.
