This online e-learning training course in our "Fundamentals" series has been developed for anyone who is new to, or will soon be involved in, caring for someone with dementia, whether within the family or as a professional, either at home or as part of a team in a residential facility.
This short course provides an overview of dementia: its definition, causes and effects on people, along with the importance of good communication between carers and the people they care for.

Fundamentals courses introduce the subject, cover the basic points and include a quiz and a post-course Learning Pack. The Learning Pack acts as a useful guide to the subject when studying offline.
