Plastering Course
YTA delivers quality Construction Training Courses and is an established and recognised training centre within the industry being able to offer bespoke or accredited courses for individuals, schools, collages or companies. We currently offer In-House Qualifications, Level 1 and Level 2 National Recognised Awards and NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3.

YTA are proud to be working in partnership with Leeds City College formally Leeds College of Technology in offering NVQ's. We are also a CAA centre offering NVQ's.
We can provide training for anyone looking to learn a construction trade whether they are looking at guidance for DIY purposes or considering a change of career, everything from a 1 day taster course, 1 or 2 week intensive courses, multiple week Multi-Skill courses and NVQ site assessments.

This is a foundation plastering course providing a wealth of background information as well as five days of intense "body training". A course suitable for new starts, tradespersons even entuhusiastic DIY'ers.
Plastering Course contains:-
Health and safety
Business start up
What plaster goes where
Skimming to plasterboard
Setting of finishing beads
Skimming to existing plaster
Repair plastering
Bonding and skimming
Setting bonding beads
Plastering to ceilings
Repairing ceilings
All hands on. Information hand outs will be supplied prior to taking on a section.
You will go home with a clear practical and theoretical understanding of plastering in itself and as a trade. From this course you may decide to go on to further training or set up for the domestic market. You may even use it as part of your work as well as plumbing, tiling or kithcen fitting. All equipment is provided for the course, you will need steel toe capped boots and throw away clothes (after the course, not during) as you will mostly likely get messy.
