The SHEA course requires successful completion of a one day training course and assessments. The training consists of 7 core modules common to all utility industries which cover health, safety and environmental law and practices. A further 5 modules specific to the gas industry, covering work on the network and above ground installations, must also be completed. Each module incorporates a multiple choice test. The purpose of the scheme is to provide the awareness, knowledge and understanding of health, safety and environmental issues relating to operational activities of the gas industry.
