The Domestic Electrical Installers course is aimed at electricians, plumbers, kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters, heating engineers, loft conversion companies etc. carrying out electrical work for compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations.

All personnel carrying out electrical work in domestic dwellings and outside the property (i.e. in a garage, greenhouse, shed and garden) must comply with the requirements of Part P of the Building Regulations.

Those carrying out the work will need a clear understanding of the Building Regulations and BS7671 (IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations) and require proof of competence.

This qualification is designed to specifically meet the needs of persons working within Part P of the Building Regulations. It will allow the holder to become a 'Qualified Supervisor' with a firm that has registered with a government approved Part P Competent Persons Scheme and has the full commitment of the key trade bodies.
