Lifting & Handling
The course will enable delegates to ensure that safety issues are managed efficiently, protecting the workforce, other people and the general environment, and will ensure that legal compliance is achieved. This will cover the Health & Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 and all other regulations relevant to manual handling. To include:
* Overview of health and safety legislation
* Manual Handling Regulations
* Hazards, risk and risk control measures
* Accident causation and prevention
* Personal protective equipment
* Means of reporting
