The GNO1 course equips candidates with the skills and knowledge to allow them to work safely on gas distribution networks. This allows them to assist more qualified personnel and is seen as the stepping-stone toward the GNO Level 2 qualifications.
On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
· Assist in locating and avoiding supply apparatus and sub-structures.
· Working under supervision, excavates holes and trenches in ground and pavement structures.
· Assist in preparing the reinstatement of excavation and pavement surfaces.
· Working under supervision, contributes to an efficient and effective work environment.
· Working under supervision, contributes to health, safety and environment in the workplace.
· Working under supervision, operates powered tools and equipment for routine and predictable requirements during Gas Network Operations.
· Working under supervision, join materials by manually controlled thermal processes.
· Working under supervision, assembles components to meet specifications.
· Assist in preparing resources and segregating the area for highways works.

Course Location: West Yorkshire (off J26 of the M62).
Course Duration: 7 days training + 1 day on-site assessment.
