relevant to the elderly and also qualifies them to act as the Emergency First Aid Person in the
workplace

√ Personal safety, assessing the incident
√ Priorities: DRAB (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing)
check and sending for help
√ Unconscious casualty
√ Resuscitation: adults
√ Choking
√ Dealing with blood loss and shock
√ Burns & Scalds
√ Heart Attack
√ Diabetes
√ Strokes
√ Seizures
√ Reporting and recording incidents
√ Contents of First Aid kit

Qualification

∆ HSE Emergency First AId at Work. Valid for
three years
