This one-day course covers the basic principles of a tried and tested project management system and process. Participants will be introduced to, and given an explanation of, the component parts of a project management system. This will cover the roles of the various people involved in project working and the associated management responsibilities and accountabilities. An explanation is given on what information must be included in the Project Initiation Document, such as the project's Strategic Purpose, Outputs and Outcomes, Milestones etc. Other subjects are covered such as Resources, Risk Analysis and Project Closure. Participants will practice drafting a Project Initiation Document (PID). Guidance will be given on producing a project Action Plan to support the PID.
