You will learn how to:
* align the team’s vision, values, teams roles and boundaries and understand the importance of these
* identify the critical stages of team development and how to adapt as team leader in each stage
* understand the root cause of conflict in teams and how overcome it and prevent it recurring during organisational, personnel and leadership change
* overcome typical performance limiting team behaviour such as ‘groupthink’ and resistance to change
* manage team equilibrium through periods of change
This session comprises some team dynamic theory accompanied by interactive workshops to assist the group gain the skills necessary for building high performance teams. These workshops are carried out in an open learning environment, as follows:
1. Identify high performing teams and the key criteria for success
2. Define your team’s vision and values
3. Identify your own team’s strengths and weaknesses through completion of the self-assessment workbooks “Building High Performance Teams” (effective when done with entire teams during the session and upon your return to work with the wider team)
4. Build an action plan to overcome your team’s weaknesses and to build a high performing team upon your return to the workplace
