Mobile Scaffold Tower Training
Course Overview
Every year there are many accidents involving mobile scaffold towers. These injuries, some fatal, create suffering for those involved. They also involve a heavy cost on the employer’s business. Accidents are frequently associated with lack of suitable and sufficient training. Such training is an essential first step in reducing damage and injury. PUWER 1998 (9) requires all people who use such equipment, to receive adequate training for it’s safe use.
Who Should Attend
People given the responsibility of erecting, using, dismantling or inspecting mobile scaffold towers should attend this course to comply with PUWER 1998 and HASAWA 1974.

Course Content
• Identify the basic construction and components.
• Identify and comply with manufacturers instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook, other information sources, and applicable legislation.
• Explain all relevant documentation.
• Carry out pre-use checks.
• Comply with the PASMA code of practice and CIS information sheet 10.
• Erect and dismantle the mobile scaffold tower using the approved 3T (Through the trap) or advance guardrail technique.
• Store and maintain the mobile scaffold tower correctly.
