Further Details
Attendees will learn the difference between project management and other modes of organising work and will understand when a project organisation is most appropriate. This course teaches the attendees how to identify the project objective, how to break down the work into small tasks, and how to estimate and schedule the work involved. Attendees will learn techniques to monitor and control the progress (or lack thereof) of their projects.
The course recognises the critical importance of the people on the project team to the success or failure of the project. The attendees will review the importance of people to a project and their own approach to team management. They will learn team building and people motivation techniques.
The course is an interactive course with a great deal of participation required from the attendees. Case study sessions are undertaken during each module where attendees are expected to review the relevancy of the case to a project of their own. Alternatively, the attendees own projects can be used as the specific case studies for these sessions. In addition, a major case study is used in days 2 and 3 of the course to reinforce the concepts being discussed.
