CTTLS is aimed at candidates from a variety of vocational backgrounds, but will be seeking to gain a qualification for the 'associate' teaching role. An associate teacher is someone whose role and responsibilities demand a less extensive range of knowledge, understanding and application of curriculum development than the 'full' role.

The award is designed to support you in achieving LLUK recognised Associate Teacher professional status as you develop as an excellent practitioner by developing your professional capabilities in becoming a self-evaluative, reflective education professional, resourcing, assessing and evaluating learning in your specialist area.

Candidates for this course will need to complete a Level 2 assessment of their Literacy and Numeracy – unless they have O/Level (or equivalent passes) in the subject(s). This is arranged and conducted in-house by us. Candidates for this course should have a good standard of verbal communications skills.

You may already be in-role, or have no prior experience, but must have access to 30 hours of teaching practice
