Workshop Overview
Latest speaking trends challenge the assumption that a good presentation relies on fixed props such as PowerPoint or communicating out of character. The new approach lies wiithin a framework designed to make your own individual mark and communicate with your audience both on a physical and mental level. Those who attend will discover how your perceptions, expectations and beliefs govern your attitude, the ability to influence your audience, and your probability of success. The course tutor will provide honest critiques, assessments and guidance aimed at getting the best out of both the individual and groups.
Workshop Objectives
This workshop is divided into two parts:
Part one (day one) is a revision of the roles and responsibilities of the presenter and covers strategic planning. Participants will practise and refine their skills by delivering two 5-minute presentations.
Part two (day two) demonstrates how to build a greater empathy with your audience to facilitate improved communication and the exchange of ideas and information. You will discover how to use memory techniques to make your delivery flow effortlessly and how to use your brain to develop a strong mental approach. You will learn how to deliver naturally and maintain audience involvement and enthusiasm. Throughout day two you will plan, prepare and deliver a 10-minute presentation.
