The Building Skills Centre has been a City & Guilds and CAA (Construction Awards Alliance) approved training centre for some time now. We previously delivered Intermediate Construction Awards which have been replaced by the new Construction Diploma and we are accredited to deliver this new qualification. We will provide training, assessment and exams in order for you to obtain a Construction Diploma in Plastering.

The Level 2 Diploma in Plastering is designed to develop your skills and knowledge, enabling you to work in the Plastering industry. The Diploma has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the assessment is based on you showing what you can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.

All the units of training must be completed by a candidate. All outcomes must be achieved during the training programme.

This course is suitable for people who are not at this moment working in the plastering industry and who would like to obtain the required plastering qualification to work towards becoming a professional Plasterer. Although it is recommended that a candidate should have some plastering knowledge, understanding and skills of basic Plastering before committing to this Diploma. If you need to obtain these skills The Building Skills Centre can provide you with a 5 day Plastering Course. If you do need to complete the 5 day course first, we will look to adjust your Diploma training time to accommodate for this.

An important feature of the Diploma is that it provides a progression route towards achieving a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
All Diploma units are related to their equivalent Plastering NVQ units and our Assessors will advise you what extra assessments are required to gain the related NVQ unit once you are working within the Plastering industry.
