Professional Plastering Course

Our City & Guilds Plastering courses cover the topics necessary to become a plasterer.
To enrol on this programme, you don’t need any previous experience of plastering. The most important requirement is a desire to learn.
The course is provided as a series of practical workshop modules. Each module ends with an assessment to ensure you achieve the desired competency that will determine your progress through the course. This is a progressive course where your ability will improve over each module under the guidance of an experienced and highly qualified tutor.
You will be spending your time under instruction at our training centre to complete the practical modules that make up your programme. Your progress will be discussed formally at the end of each module and you will have the opportunity to discuss in depth any course related issues with an instructor at any time during the course.
Throughout the course you will be building a portfolio of work which will be used as proof of your accomplishments. You will need to provide your own overalls and steel toe-capped working shoes, although these can be provided at cost price should you need them. All necessary tools and materials will be provided.
The 18 modules include:
Boarding and setting a ceiling.
Dry-lining.
Scrim & scrim finishes with plaster.
Applying floating coats to walls.
Fixing floor tiles & skirting tiles.
Qualifications
After successfully completing the training you will achieve the City & Guilds 6000 series certificate; this qualification can later be used for working towards an NVQ Level 2. The student will also be given the opportunity to attain their CSCS Card; this will be discussed during the course.
